This is a complete service for you and your horse
Clough Farm is a small family-owned yard in a quiet rural setting in between Boston and Spalding offering full livery for schooling, breaking, rehabilitation, sales, competition, and holiday. The yard is equipped with an indoor school which allows the horses to be worked all year round whatever the weather, this offers a safe and calm space for young/nervous horses. The stables are matted and can bed on shavings or straw; the livery horses are stabled alongside our own horses and are treated exactly the same.
A hard feed is provided once a day with hay at night and as necessary during turnout.
Horses follow the same routine as our own, I believe this helps the horses to settle quickly and establish a routine alongside the others.
I believe that horses should routinely attend the equine dentist and have a back check to ensure there are no underlying problems prior to work commencing. If this needs to be arranged then I am happy to offer guidance prior to the horse's arrival or to arrange for it to be done as soon as possible after arrival.
The work for the horses can be varied between ridden and groundwork which I would recommend; unless holiday or rehabilitation livery does not require work. We can offer to lunge; long-reining; free schooling;breaking to ride or drive and hacking along with schooling; the package will be put together depending on you and your horse's needs.
I am happy to handle all types of horses including youngsters, stallions, and horses that need to be led in a chiffon.
I have also had experience in looking after different animals including dogs, cats, small mammals, chickens, geese, cows, sheep, llamas, goats etc and as such I am happy to do this alongside your horse if required.
I can offer any type of clip that you require or I can offer advice on what would be best for your horse if you are unsure and wish to discuss it with me. I will also pull or hog manes and remove feathers from legs, Clipping lessons are also available.

Our 3.5-tonne horsebox has an internal measurement of 7ft floor to ceiling and can comfortably carry two16hh horses or three small ponies. We are happy to transport any horse/pony, mares, foals, stallions, or competition horses.
The horses are rear facing and in the back there is plenty of room for anything else you may require to take with you.
The box is fitted with CCTV so that your horses / ponies are monitored throughout their journey.
Our driver has been transporting horses for over 20 years. He holds a Certificate of Competence in the Transport of Animals as per the EU requirement and a Type 1 DEFRA licence allowing horses to travel for up to 8 hours.
We are fully insured for hire & reward and in the unlikely event of a breakdown we have roadside rescue cover in place for your horse / pony.
